Jacqueline Bisson

Jacqueline Bisson

I’m a singer, songwriter and musician and in the last 5 years or so I’ve launched into comedy. I utilise my singing and songwriting themes into my comedy. I have been an active member of the Townsville Folk Club and Folk Festival for the past 30 years. I founded TMPAS, Townsville Music and Performing Art Space in 2008 alongside Laurence Backer and Emiliano Brandolini. TMPAS continued to provide a platform for emerging artists of all ages and cultures in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. The objective is to grow the performing arts in North Queensland and to acknowledge the vast array of talents in the region. Performing arts is the most beneficial medium which assists and support’s psychological, emotional and physical well-being in our society. It provides an outlet for participants to express and share their thoughts, feelings and emotions through various performance art mediums and promotes connection and unity in community reducing isolation.
