People in the front and in the nosebleed section are in for a thrill when legendary hip-hoppers Hilltop Hoods return to Townsville this July.
Hilltop Hoods are one of Australia’s most successful and enduring contemporary artists. Over the past two decades they’ve racked up 10 ARIA Awards, six #1 ARIA albums, 60 platinum accreditations, been Australia’s most streamed Spotify artist two years running and launched Aussie hip hop into the stratosphere.
Now, they’ll headline this year’s Townsville Supercars before a run of metro arena shows for The Show Business Tour.
New single Show Business sees the Hilltop Hoods collaborate with US soul singer Eamon. The track tackles some of the challenges associated with life in the public eye.
Supercars CEO Shane Howard said its great news for fans to have a full line-up of entertainment return to the NTI Townsville 500.
“This year we are bringing back the show that the Townsville 500 is famous for delivering to fans,” Shane said.
“Hilltop Hoods are one of Australia’s greatest live acts and to have them locked in to perform at our event on July 9 is fantastic news.
“We can’t wait to see the big top filled with fans after a huge day of racing at Reid Park.”
Hilltop Hoods will headline the NTI Townsville 500 on 9 July 2022.
