A new exhibition paying homage to the artists who’ve helped shape the City of Townsville Art Collection is now showing at Pinnacles Gallery.
Graphic Tendencies is a selection of the city’s more than 3,500 artworks, hand-picked by Townsville City Galleries creative director Jonathan McBurnie.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said the exhibition was a feast of colour.
“There are some incredibly dynamic works at play in the Graphic Tendencies exhibition, which make it a thrill to see,” Cr Greaney said.
“Council is lucky to have a large number of works in the City of Townsville Art Collection, and being able to bring a selection of those works together for this exhibition is very exciting.
“This exhibition includes works from celebrated artists including Davida Allen, Garry Andrews, Ian Smith and Christian Flynn, so it’s well worth a visit to enjoy some of their most striking artworks.”
Graphic Tendencies will run at Pinnacles Gallery until 13 August.
